Tradeprint + As Seen In Press A Case Study

As Seen in Press is a monthly print-based local magazine network, each month delivering 225,000 free copies across key towns, cities and neighbourhoods throughout the UK. That’s 2.7 million copies each year.

The original concept started as a Spotlight postcard promoting businesses across Leeds, Liverpool, Chester, Wirral and London. Following its success, owner Riccardo Rothschild had ambitious plans to create a more luxurious magazine promoting local businesses alongside lifestyle and retail articles with what’s hot on the high street.

So, following a rebrand to As Seen in Press, his concept became a premium finished 32-page A5 magazine with a laminated luxurious feel, creating appeal for readers and selling itself to advertisers across 10 UK regions.

Riccardo searched online for competitive prices with ease of ordering and top-quality printing he could trust with his new brand. Searching online for ‘magazine printing ’, he instantly found Tradeprint’s website.

To achieve a premium look and feel, he selected 200gsm art paper for the gloss-finished covers and 130gsm art paper for the gloss-finished pages, with gloss lamination and saddle-stitch binding via a custom quote from our team

Printed on one of our Canon ProStream inkjet web presses, the magazines were printed at speed, then cut, trimmed and finished. Then his magazine was dispatched on express delivery.
