New Shopfront Signage Case Study

New Shopfront Signage Case Study

Mo’s Music Market + Tradeprint

Musical Instrument Retail, Dunfermline, Scotland

A characterful new brand brought to the high street, with a print partner behind every step.

Mo’s Music Market is a destination shop for musicians, collectors and curious players, specialising in pre-owned, unusual and characterful instruments.  The business is built around the character Mo, a moustachioed, fictional musical explorer whose character gives the brand a distinctive, story-led identity across the shop, website and merchandise.

Founded by Alex Marten and his business partner, both with long experience in musical instrument retail, the company sells online and from a destination store with on-site parking. The team needed exterior signage that would make the physical shop feel established, distinctive and true to the brand from day one.

The Challenge - A distinctive new brand needed shopfront signage that did it justice from day one, made to size and ready to fit.

The Solution - Made-to-measure signage produced by us, colour-matched to the brand and delivered ready to install.

The Result - A standout shopfront fitted by the owners, and the start of a wider print partnership across signage and merchandise.

New Signage Installation

A shopfront is the first thing customers see, and for a brand with as much personality as Mo’s Music Market has, this had to land. The owners wanted signage that matched the quality of the brand exactly, made to the right size and ready to fit on their own schedule.

For a young, hands-on business, that meant finding a print partner who could deliver trade-quality work, get the detail right first time, and stay easy to deal with as the brand expanded into new products.

How we supported them

Mo’s Music Market turned to us for their exterior signage. We produced it made-to-measure, colour-matched to the brand, and delivered it ready to install, so the owners could fit it themselves at the moment that suited them.

That gave the team exactly what an independent retailer needs early on: a quality product, accurate to size, with a straightforward process and a single print partner to return to as the brand develops. As Mo’s Music Market grows, we can support the whole range, from signage through to branded merchandise, all from one place.

We wanted the shopfront to tell people straight away that Mo’s Music Market is a bit different: serious about instruments, but full of character. Tradeprint helped us turn that brand idea into something physical, made to size and ready for us to install ourselves. It made the shop feel real from the outside before anyone had even stepped through the door.

The New Shop Front

Mo’s Music Market now has a shopfront that matches the ambition of the brand, fitted by the owners and ready for the high street. It is the kind of first impression that turns a passing glance into a visit.

For customers, the shopfront gives a clear invitation: step inside, browse properly, and discover instruments with more personality than the usual high-street offering.

With the signage in place, the team is already planning the next stage: branded merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, mugsand flyers to build recognition further. It is the start of a growing partnership and a good example of how we can support independent retailers, giving them quality print across signage and merchandise and one reliable partner to grow with.
