How Smarter Packaging Is Reducing Complaints and Improving Your Experience 

At Tradeprint, we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience our customers have with us, from the moment you place an order to the point it arrives safely at your door. One of the biggest changes we’ve made recently is to the packaging we use. 

In March 2024, we began trialling smaller, stronger boxes for our 130/170gsm flyers. The results were so positive that we’ve since rolled out these improvements across books, folded leaflets, and other flyer weights. 

What’s Changed?

• Stronger, smaller boxes better protect print during transit. 
• Packaging matched to product type ensures the right level of protection without waste. 

• Fewer complaints, fewer damages mean less hassle for you and less time lost to reprints. 

• Damage complaint rates halved — flyer damage dropped from as high as 7% to consistently under 1% by mid-2025. 
• Complaint costs fell sharply, with some months now seeing negligible damage costs. 
• Fewer delivery issues as packaging upgrades worked across all major carriers, helping ensure reliable deliveries. 
• On-time delivery above 98% even as order volumes increased. 
• Books and folded leaflets saw the same benefits, with damage rates dropping below 1% after packaging changes.
